My Musical and Other Personal Influences

 

Kindergarten (S.F.D.M. Q.C. St. Anthony Parish School)

Nursery Rhyme - those basic that i've already forgotten the lyrics, but I still remember ABC song and our early morning in school exercise song.

Catholic Songs - coz  I'm a sacristan that time, serving the Sunday mass. I'm a member of Knight of the Altar in Roxas District, Q.C. but you see that's my first time to taste wine and take home the ostia at the back of the altar when the priest is out. (what a silly young sin).

 

Primary/Elementary (Gen. Roxas Elem. School, Roxas Dist. Q.C.)

Beatles -  been musical influenced me by my uncle Bruno because during that time he was a long haired die hard  hippie dude.

Asin - which broaden my awareness on social and environmental issues.

Fredie Aguilar - most of us would believe or Ka Fredie's songs/composition until now.

Florante - I still remember my teacher ask me to teach my classmates on how to sing the song "Bulag, Pipi at Bingi", hehe.. she even go to our house and ask permission to my parents to be present in school the following day coz i was only the one who knows the exact tone and lyrics even my teacher didnt.

Hagibis and their U.S. counterpart The Village People (thats my first time to performed dancing on stage with   more people watching).

Michael Jackson (I still remember when me and my cousins including 1 of our friend getting audition in Channel 2 but unfurtunately, We didn't make it at finals).

 

Secondary/High School (Manuel L. Quezon University then transfer to The University Of Manila)

  Break Dancing/Body Rockin' - coz I'd been a break dancer and strutter too. Frequently participating

  showdown somewhere in C.C.P. Manila and Q.C. Circle. I'm a member of Scare Crow, Puppety Puppets

  allied group like Infoclas, Octo Mechanics (at present counterpart of Street Boys), Jef Cutash, Cyclone 

 

  Bagets, Hot Shots, Campus Beat Era - he he he! I still remember and laughing until now, what I worn that time.

  (doble doble, ibat ibang kulay, pero di naman mainit kase di pa damage ang ozone layer nun.)

  Disco Afternoon to Midnight Hang-Outs

    Sultan, Campus Bubbles, Hide Away, Corithians Garden, Tia Maria - I remember the Zombie drinks.

    Broad Street, Colors, Jaloux (Jelousy). 

The Police - post punk beat by Sting "Everybreath You Take "

    Arman Yano - me, on Rhytmn Guitar, 2nd vocals and Composition

    Michael Hernandez - Bass, presently a successful Executive Sales Representative of Pharmaceutical Co.

    Rommel - Vocals, a Pulp Magazine model, from Marikina, presently managing upcoming local alternative

    bands.

    Magao Balmar - partly on Drums, presently a licensed Dentist.

    where most of our song were full noise and shouting coz were just only beginning to used

    musical instruments back then.  

    We did our practice in one of the studio somewhere in Nepa Q-Mart in Kamuning Q.C.).

    We played during early Edsa Revolution Days, Campus Gigs and bar gig in Sampaloc, Manila.

  Skid Row - Sebastian Badboy Bach - I Remember You and Youth Gone Wild
